Just found a great youtube channel devoted to Blender and an awesome wikibook for Blender.

http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Blender_3D:_Noob_to_Pro is the book

http://www.youtube.com/user/blenderblade is the channel

The wikibook I came across when I was searching Gewgle  for something like “change view in Blender” – this gave this exact link – http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Blender_3D:_Noob_to_Pro/3D_View_Windows

I was searching that because to move the viewpoint in Linux you press the middle mouse button and then move the mouse. As I am using the Windows Portable App version of Blender the middle click does not work so I was searching how to do this.

The wikibook looks like a very good piece of documentation. Well laid out, concise, in depth..

That youtube channel looks useful too – I think using the two together is the best way forward (for myself and others with similar “learning styles”). Watch how its done with youtube then learn the exact controls with the wikibook when having a go.
